Patent Portfolio

Proxense® has a robust patent portfolio and a longstanding commitment to growing and protecting its intellectual property. The portfolio was developed and filed by Fenwick & West (San Francisco), one of the leading IP law firms in the world , with a client roster including Google and other technology leaders. Since 2010, the Company’s patent portfolio, as well as new applications and continuing prosecution of existing applications, have been managed by Patent Law Works, a firm formed and managed by one of Fenwick & West’s founding partners.

Developed by the same engineers who developed the highly-regarded technology behind XM Radio, the Proxense® IP portfolio covers proprietary/core elements of the TruProx™ technology and ProxNET™ scalable sensor network platform, as well as numerous applications of the technology that Proxense® considers central to its business.

TruProx™ is a powerful, flexible and wide-ranging technology consisting of numerous core capabilities, including its ability to function in extremely dense RF environments, a multi-layered security model, a biometrically-authenticated transaction mechanism, a segmented memory/multi-service architecture, among others.

ProxNET™ is Proxense®’s proprietary, scalable proximity sensor networking model, enabling any number of TruProx™ sensors to function as an integrated and centrally-controlled system, while providing a platform for running numerous service-specific applications.
