History

For more than a decade, Proxense® has been pushing the frontiers of proximity sensing technology beyond RFID and NFC. Company founder John Giobbi’s concept of a single platform with the capacity for instant, hands-free login/logoff and the most accurate real-time location system (RTLS) on the market was realized with the filing of initial patents in the early 2000s.

Proxense® Proximity Technologies was formally established in 2005, and the company’s robust IP portfolio has continued to grow. The company serves the healthcare market with true proximity technology that helps manage people, patients and assets on the move.
